Overview:
EEPA is looking for a driven, detail oriented and enthusiastic person to work as our Medicaid Benefit Specialist. We are a fast growing and high paced company that works to protect our clients' assets in preplanning and crisis for long term care. From trusts, wills, powers of attorney to filing for long term care Medicaid, we are a full service for estate planning and protection. This position requires the ability to work with team members, clients, nursing facility coordinators and DHS staff in order to clearly and methodically communicate for the purpose of achieving Medicaid approval for our clients.
This position is not for the faint of heart. You must be able to process large quantities of data, organize the information appropriately, lay it out according to both EEPA and DHS guidelines and policies, so it lines up and creates Medicaid eligibility for our clients. We expect this person to be self motivated. Experience will not be required for the right person; we will train you and give you the opportunity to be successful.
Our primary office is located in Hot Springs, but we have other offices in Sherwood and Bryant as well; with future offices planned for elsewhere in the State of Arkansas. This person needs to be able to travel to offices, potentially facilities and sometimes client meetings as needed. Being an independent contracted team member, the goal of this position is not a set amount of hours, instead its a results driven position. This position will be based out of our Hot Springs office.
Responsibilities:
Review information provided by clients/families
Organization of information received
Follow EEPA policies and procedures in notations, record keeping, organization of files, and written and oral communication
Interview and communicate with clients as needed, both in person and via phone
Forms completion - completing both EEPA and Arkansas DHS forms
Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Organized and Detail Oriented
Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and guidelines in determining eligibility for assistance programs
Ability to evaluate client information
Ability to prepare, present and review oral and written information and reports
Ability to interview and provide technical assistance
Ability to use computer software to produce reports and written communication
Familiarity to Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe PDF.
Ability to learn programs, procedures, and software quickly
